You drive to Mbarara via Masaka where you make a first stop over at Equator crossing for photography and snacks, lunch break is en-route to Kabale and proceed to Bwindi this forest is filled with primates, exotic birds , valleys , hilltops and papyrus swamps the afternoon is spent on a foot safaris around the local communities living around the park . Accommodation is at Bunyonyi overland resort (comfort) Rushaga Gorilla camp (standard), silver back lodge (luxury) and meals as well.
You are briefed by the UWA staff about the trip in the morning after breakfast, the guides will lead you inside the jungle to track the rare mountain gorilla as well as see the primates for a group you have been booked for, and this is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences.
